Occupational Therapy Assessment

A full comprehensive occupational therapy assessment can be completed with children aged between 3 - 16 years old using standardised assessment tools and questionnaires to assess motor skills, visual motor integration, visual perceptual skills, handwriting and ability to process and modulate sensory information. Following the assessment with your child, a parent/caregiver feedback session is completed to discuss the findings and formulate goals & strategies for home & school. These will be further outlined in a comprehensive report that is provided electronically.  

Early Intervention Assessments for Infants and Toddlers is also available to assess developmental functioning and sensory preferences. 

Occupational Therapy Screening

A screening of a specific difficulty (i.e. fine motor skills, handwriting, engagement etc.) to inform intervention goals with a brief parent discussion to formulate a therapeutic plan. A brief typed screening summary is provided electronically following this initial session. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Occupational Therapy Intervention Services

Occupational Therapy Intervention | Home-Based

Individualised occupational therapy intervention provided in the child's home environment addressing challenges in the areas of self-care (i.e. toileting, feeding, grooming, sleeping), social and communication skills, fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation, attention, behaviour and sensory processing.

*Sibling sessions also available. 

Occupational Therapy Intervention | School-Based

Individualised occupational therapy intervention provided in the child's school environment addressing challenges in the areas of social and communication skills, fine and gross motor skills, self-regulation, attention, behaviour and sensory processing.

Occupational Therapy Intervention | Telehealth

Individualised occupational therapy intervention provided via video-call through online software to provide intervention, parent support, resources, home-based activities and programs. Ideal for families who are unable to access face-to-face occupational therapy intervention in their home or who find travel to appointments challenging and stressful.

Additional Services

Staff Training

Individualised staff training focusing on education around specific topics and strategies for that setting. Specific topics can be discussed if requested. Handouts will be provided and dedicated time for Q&A. 

Sensory Room Consultation

Face-to-face or online consultations available to provide advice on sensory room creation in schools, organisations and home environments. It is essential to receive OT support around the selection of equipment and resources to maximise the benefit of the space available. 

Parent Training Workshops

Workshops and training for parents can be completed on specific topics with dedicated time for Q&A. 

Full & Half Day Contracting

Contracting is available for schools and other organisations requiring private occupational therapy services including individual and group sessions.

Baby Massage Classes

Infant Massage uses nurturing touch to communicate with your baby, to show them that they are loved, welcomed and respected, and that they can feel safe and secure in their new world. It is a wonderful way of bonding with your baby as it works on an emotional as well as a physical level, developing closeness between parent and baby that has lifelong benefits. Parents/Caregivers massage their own baby using a specifically designed series of strokes. This series combines Indian and Swedish massage along with Reflexology techniques and some gentle yoga based exercises into a routine designed to be beneficial for infants.
